The Exynos 7420 is the industry’s first mobile processor built on 14nm FinFET process for enhanced performance and better power efficiency. While octa-core CPU with big.LITTLE processing offers powerful processing power for seamless multitasking experience, the advanced GPU, MFC and ISP enables user to enjoy life-like multimedia experiences with realistic 3d contents, high-resolution videos and photos.

With the FinFET technology of 3-dimensional transistors, Exynos 7420 overcame the limitations of conventional 2-dimentional planar technology achieving further performance boost and power efficiency optimization. The vertical 3-dimensional structure creates more conducting channels allowing better current flow and substantially reduces current leakage resulting in enhanced performance and lower power consumption.

The Exynos 7420 is equipped with eight CPU cores consist of four big cores (ARM® Cortex®-A57™ up to 2.1GHz) for intensive workloads and four LITTLE cores (ARM Cortex-A53 up to 1.5GHz) for lighter tasks. By fully supporting a 64-bit architecture in both hardware and software, the Exynos 7420 enables running performance intensive tasks without any buffering.
